Cookie Policy

What cookies the site sets, what they're for, and how to control them.

This page explains the cookies and similar identifiers used on the MyAppAPI website at myappapi.com, and what choices you have. It supplements the privacy policy.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored by your browser that lets a site remember information between requests. "Similar technologies" — local storage, pixels, and similar identifiers — work in comparable ways and are covered by this policy where they are used to do the same job.

Categories of cookies in use

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the site to work. They include the cookie that records whether you have dismissed the cookie banner so we don't show it again on every page. These cookies don't track you across sites and can't be turned off through the consent banner — turning them off would prevent the site from working correctly.

Analytics

These cookies help us understand which pages are read and how readers move through the site. They're aggregated and not used to identify individual visitors. You can opt out using the controls in the consent banner or the controls in our analytics provider's documentation.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Some pages display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to:

  • Show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
  • Measure ad impressions, clicks, and conversions.
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent ad activity.

These cookies are set by Google, not by MyAppAPI. The full list of cookies and identifiers Google uses for advertising is documented in Google's cookie types documentation.

How to control or opt out

The consent banner

The first time you visit, the cookie banner lets you accept or manage non-essential cookies. You can change your choice later from any page by reopening the banner via the "Manage" link in the banner footer.

Browser controls

All major browsers let you block cookies, delete existing cookies, or be warned before a cookie is set. The exact steps differ by browser:

Blocking all cookies will prevent some features of the site from working as intended.

Opting out of personalised advertising

You can opt out of personalised advertising independently of cookie consent on this site:

  • Google Ads Settings — opt out of Google's personalised advertising across the sites it serves.
  • aboutads.info — opt out of personalised advertising from many participating ad networks (US-focused).
  • youronlinechoices.eu — equivalent opt-out portal for users in the European Union.
  • NAI opt-out — Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool.

Opting out of personalisation does not stop ads from being shown — it only prevents them from being personalised based on your activity.

Do Not Track

There is no industry-wide standard for how sites should respond to a browser's "Do Not Track" signal. We treat the consent banner choice and the third-party opt-out tools above as the controlling signals.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove cookies in a way that affects what we collect, we'll update this page and revise the "Last reviewed" date.
